ASHRAE TECHNICAL AWARDS
We all work hard every day to meet our client requirements, and deliver the best technical projects possible.
What we haven’t done well as a chapter is brag about the great work we’ve done at our places of business.
We want to encourage all our members to take a shot and get their projects in right away.
The process is a little onerous, but here it is in the breakdown:
1. Submit for the Chapter Competition.
As it took a little longer than intended to post this process, we will allow submissions through May 18.
Our board will convene and vote on each project in advance of our 50th anniversary party, in a goal to award at the party.
For any projects where a board member participated, that board member is required to recuse themselves from the vote.
The different categories are:
i. Commercial Buildings (New, existing, existing commissioning)
ii. Institutional Buildings
iii. Health Care Facilities
iv. Industrial Facilities or Processes
v. Public Assembly
vi. Residential
Submit for Regional Competition
Each First Place winner from the chapter even will need to complete a full form before June 10 (in order to be reviewed by the chapter and then issued to the Region X CTTC Chair before June 15).
Regional leadership will review and announce winners in advance of the CRC.
Submit for Society Competition
Just like with the Chapter to Regional advancement, the first place winners in each category will advance to the Society level competition
Long form needs to be completed and submitted on or before August 26, 2018.
Our chapter board is happy to review and comment in order to ensure the response is as solid as possible.
